FRuMMaGe's Guide to Fixing a Non-Responsive Wiimote
After seeing many MANY thread on this, I decided to write a very short guide to help you.
By "Non-Responsive" I mean the motion controls are not working. Obviously the cursor will still work as this is not associated at all with motion controls, it is infra-red.
Now, if you Wiimote will not respond to swings and other actions for games such as Wii Sports, it means the accelerometers are "stuck". Fortunately, there is an easy fix:
> Lie the controller flat on the palm of your hand.
> Use the other to strike it sharply several times.
> Try it.
> Repeat as necessary.
Many people think i am joking when I say this, but it is actually the recommended method of fixing it.
(Mods: Please sticky this if you deem it necessary)

No doubt many of us have indeed wanted to wring tech support but I don't think that's quite what you meant here.
"ring" (as in on the phone) perhaps?

Temporary lapse of basic spelling skills there.
