I recently came across SSB and went out and bought a wireless gamecube controller. But I don't know how to connect it to the Wii. It's a pelican (probably a bad brand) but I can't get it to move anything on the wii. Is there a special way to connect it?

did you turn it on?
did you connect it to the wireless dongle that plugs into the wii?(i think you have to do this with pelicans)
are the controller and the dongle on the same channel?
