I'd check the website but its blocked at work.
My Wii died at some point last week, it has the problem where it turns on, but no signal seems to reach the TV and the wiimote only flashes a bit, nothing else.

Hey mate the number is: 08706060247
Be ready for a wait though as they have quite a long que. The lines are from 8:30-6 I think, you are best off trying them as soon as they open at half 8.

Just spoke to someone at the service centre who told me I probably had a faulty Wii and would most likely get a replacement brand new one sent to me. He said that while I would lose all save games and downloaded VC games, the serial number could be transferred across online, so that I wouldn't lose the Wii points I have purchased and input, and will be able to re-download games I have bought with them...which is a relief.
I understand I need to pay for the postage to send it to the service centre, but does this mean I need to enclose postage for the return as well?

They did the same thing for me and transfered the serial number over. What this did for me was basically my file was sent over, so my points were retained and it had my activiy history so I just downloaded my games again.
Yeah it really is a shame we have to pay ourselves to send the console in espicially as in America they don't have to. Don't worry about the return postage, Nintendo deal with that themselves and will send it back via Parcelforce. It should take 2 days after they send it. You might wanna check back with them though to get an update if you don't get it back in say a couple of weeks.

Okay, I'm here carrying yet more news of crappy wiimote stuff.
I looked at five pages of this thread, and found many different methods to get the job done, but none of them have really worked, and here is my issue-
Both of my wiimotes are in a coma.
I simply without noticing turned on my wii with the wiimote, pressed a, and started up Zelda. nope. No problem. Till I got to the "press B + A, I did so, and nothing. Not even the pointer. I pressed A, and all my lights flashed about four times. I remembered, Oh yeah! My battery is low, I remember seeing it red! So I restarted the wii and got my other wiimote out. The exact same thing happend, all the lights flashed around four times. I got mad. I came here. After roughly changing the batteries 4, COUNT 'EM! 4 times, I tried the whole "sync your wiimotes" thing. Nothing. I can't even acess the main menu. I'm mad. What do I do? I haven't tried unplugging the wii, in which I'm about to right now, but at this moment, I am totally mad. I spent 5 freaking weeks looking for a 2nd wiimote and now it's in a coma. So for all those technical "whiz" kids out there- what do you do if your wiimotes won't do didly squat? and don't tell me "oh, well you need to sync 'em," or anything else, cause I bite.

That's happened to me a couple of times, don't know if it's the same thing but about twice my remotes just wouldn't do anything. In the end I unplugged the console and pluged it back in. That seems to work a treat. As I say it's only happened a couple of times so I don't think it's that big of a deal. Hope yours isn't a big problem mate.

Hi,
I've had my Wii for a couple of weeks now, all started off good, but I've noticed some graphic glitches creeping into my Wii console and I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this. Basically I'm thinking I have to send my console back to be looked at. This glitch happens in the menu, in games, basically everywhere. I have 3 images showing this -
The Wii menu - glitches circled in red -
In Game Image, glitch most visible around the white text -
Black text on a white background shows the glitch to fill effect -
I've tried everythig I can think of to try solve the problem, changed the TV Mhz settings, changed with input on my TV it uses, and lastly I bought a component cable to use 480p, no change. Anything else I can try (other than takeit back to the shop)?
The TV's a 42inch LG Plasma - no other consoles I plug into it (ie Xbox360) display these glitches.
Thanks!

My Wiimote doesn't respond. The batteries are brand new and I've changed them several times. But the Wii doesn't recognize it. The Wiimote just has the buttons at the bottom blink 2 times when I press a button. >:S

I bought a Wii last week... Defective right from the box. Aparantly it boots and sync's with the Wiimote fine, but gives no video output what-so-ever. I get a "ding" on audio if I hit buttons on the Wiimote enough, and moving it back and forth the Wiimote rumbles as I'm going over buttons, but absolute black-screen on the video. Called Nintendo and they said it's either a bad console or a bad A/V cable.
They shipped a new Console that should arrive today according to UPS tracking. What I'm confused about is they're shipping a console only. If it turns out my cable is bad, they said to call back and they'd ship out a cable too >_<;; Why they don't send both, I do not know.
(Update)
The replacement Wii works great. Cable is fine, so the video connection inside the original Wii Console must be defective. Spent a couple of hours in Wii Sports last night happy as a clam!

Wii Video
I don't get any video out of my wii, I've had it for atleast 2 months and this has not happened before. Everything is connected but I don't get video, and ive tried on 2 different TVs. The audio works and I can hear the clicking noises and fell the rumble when i move my wiimote around over the wii menu. I dont know if its the cable and i should just buy a new one or if it's my wii.

Sounds exactly like how mine was out of the box. It was in the console itself, and Nintendo was quite prompt about shipping me out a replacement. If all else fails, call in the warranty people.

I swear to god the wii ate my wii sports disc. But it will still accept other discs fine. Am I losing my mind? Has anyone else experienced this?
