Are you putting the discs in the correct way (picture facing right)?
If this is happening with all your discs, then there is a problem with the Wii. Call Nintendo and they'll take it in for repair. They have an excellent reputation for customer service.

My classic controller has been acting up lately. When playing Super Mario World, I can pick things up but I can't release. It just won't let me. Playing NES games, the A or B button doesn't work (can't remember). The problem seems like a button is constantly stuck? Anyone else having this problem? And the button isn't physically stuck.

have you try with the other wiimote??? maybe is the port on the wiimote, or the classic controller. Either way find out which one is it and then take it to nintendo.

Yeah it really is a shame we have to pay ourselves to send the console in espicially as in America they don't have to. Don't worry about the return postage, Nintendo deal with that themselves and will send it back via Parcelforce. It should take 2 days after they send it. You might wanna check back with them though to get an update if you don't get it back in say a couple of weeks.
|
You don't have to pay for postage! I work at the service centre and we should be paying for it. I strongly advise the back up saved games on to an SD card and Mii's onto your remotes, but the VC stuff we can and will move over for you.

Don't do that, is the remote not working properly? If it is why worry, if it isn't send it in and get a repalcement, don't open it trust me it's all very bad.

Don't worry that it is out of the warranty period, chances are they will still fix it for free. Charges though are £28 or £70, but we rarely charge them, normally charge £70 if the machine has been tampered i.e. chipped.

I work for the service centre and am just starting up a forum to help answer all these kinds of questions. www.lailamania.com is my website just click on Forum and at the bottom is the nintendo section, it is new and doesn't have a lot of activity, but I'm certain I hold all the answers. Any questions just go there and ask, not only that but I can also work for you guys from the inside.

Read disk errors, if starting to happen on all games is a problem with the Wii. Various problems can cause it, I can arranged to get it fixed for you. If you visit my forum and PM me ( www.lailamania.com) I will help you get it fixed.

I had disc read errors when i played a Gamecube game, then tried to play a Wii game.
I 'think' the Wii may have been 'stuck' in gamecube mode.
I had to turn the Wii fully off for a good 5 seconds, turned it back on and it played Wii games fine.
Where you playing a GC game then tried a Wii game right after?

I bought my Wii in January and I haven't really had any problems until recently. I bought Mariokart and in the offline part of the game it works great. When I connect online I get through about 4 or 5 races and then whether I'm in the middle of a race or not an error message pops up: "An error has occurred. Press eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii Console off and refer to the wii operations manual for help troubleshooting." It happened so consistently that I thought for sure it was the game so I returned the game. The new one I got did the same thing and I decided to run a test in the unlikely event that I had gotten two bad discs in a row. I had my friend use my disc in his Wii and I tried his disc in my Wii. Mine still failed and his didn't. Has anyone else see this issue? It's weird that all of my games can be played so flawlessly but I can so consistently have a problem with the same part of the game.

I've tried different inputs and 2 other TVs - the Wii turns on, Disc drive spins up, but the screen is completely black -
does anyone else have a similiar issue? There are no error codes reported;

Check the AV connection between the tv and the wii. it should work. and check that you plugged it into the IN socket and not the OUT. These are common mistakes people make. I can't guarantee this will work thogh. -RoboPetey
