Thanks

G'day,

Today I grabbed one of my WiiMotes to play Mario Kart, and noticed that the "+" button felt really funny.

When you press the button in any direction, it feels kind of crunchy, and there's even a scratchy sound as well.

All I can think is that something has gotten inside, but I don't now how - it's not like I've left it laying around and spilled biscuit crumbs or something on it.

Anyone know

a) If this is a "known" kind of issue?
b) If opening the WiiMote is easy?
c) If warranty would cover it?

cheers

cosmic

Hey everyone,

I've been noticing my nunchuks glitching a lot. The screen will say the nunchuk is disconnected and my character will move without me moving it. It's became a big frusteration. One of my friends is also having this problem. What should I do?

If you are able to connect to the shopping channel then the wireless connection between your Wii and Router is working. When you browse for a network on your Wii how good is the signal strength. If its a little low you may find your connection is being dropped you may be able to alter the power on the router to improve the Wireless signal strength.

Hmmm my Wii seems to be borked...

I went to switch it on today and nothing happened. Nada. So I unplugged the power cable and replugged it back in. The red standby light came on but when I pressed the power button, it flashed green and the blue light flashed in the CD tray and then it just went right off again. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've had it for 18 months (since it was released). Used it for 6 months, it was boxed up for a year and I've just come back to it now and have been playing it for a week.

help

i bought my wii when they 1st came out in the uk and am having the following problem. it just shows the red led light all the time. have tried pressing the button no response, tried the reset button same again same as the eject button. there is nothing happening, have changed the AV cable as adviced by the local nintendo repair centre and the same still happens. took the actual console there and they said it was working.

is it a power lead fault or is it something else.
im lead to belive it might by doing an error and trial system. the power lead that came with the pack got lost when we moved houses so had to buy an unofficial one.

any help is much appreciated

exactly my issue!
have you been able to resolve yet? it's a family wii, and i really need it fixed!

I just had this problem occur on my family wii last night...

I try to switch the wii on, and the yellow light does turn on..
but the TV screen stays black!
I've read a few of the same issues on this forum, and just wanted to know if anyone had been able to resolve it?

Since the search function on the site is so great, i decided to ask anyway, so sorry if this has been answered.

I've noticed over time, the games, no matter wich one take much longer between screens, for instance pressing A, getting a white screen for like 10 secs, then going to what ever screen might be next, where it would allmost instantly go to the next screen when i first got it.

Another instance is wii sports bowling, i'll knock down the pins, and it will just sit there playing the music for 10 secs or so showing the pins knocked down and then go to the next screen.

It seems like it is getting progressivly worse, the longer ive had it the slower it gets to load the next screen.

Any ideas here?

We have Lego Star Wars for my son. Great fun. One problem, one remote allows characters with lightsabers to jump while the other remote does not. Both remotes all any jump-able character to jump, but the one remote will not allow a character with a lightsaber to jump. It instead makes the character do a strike down. I have reset the remotes with no success.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks

Help. Found a thread about "unable to read disc" but that seemed to a relate to a particular game whereas my brand new wii does not want to read any discs. Bought it last week and for 24 hours was fine but ever since it won't recognise any discs; even those fresh out of the packaging. Any thing else you experiemced gamers can suggest or is it back to the shop for a replacement. Thanks.

squeaking from the wii, all disc drives do it obz, but is it common for the disc drive to make squeaks, instead of normal disc drive sounds like sliding or whatever.

Wii video appears as if it's a silent movie from the 20's, with the vertical faded lines etc. Is this the AV cable's problem?

I am having the same problem. Black and white image, kind of jittery as well. I am planning on sending to Nintendo repair service unless anyone has any suggestions.
