Yep, no problem.
They have a bunch of little gadgets for Wii there also, most likely unofficial but dirt cheap, like extra sensor bars for under 10$,
Just read the reviews before buying anything there so you get a good sense of the quality, as for the wii component cables, they have 60 good reviews so its definitely a good buy.
Enjoy.

I'm not sure about the taxes to UK Paul, as far as I know Europeans pay some sort of VAT but I don't know if UK is involved with that. I know in Canada you have to pay a customs tax if your product is worth over 100$ so I can imagine it being similar there. It's not likely you will be paying any tax on something that is not worth at least 50 pounds.
Also, shipping normally takes about 2 weeks, its a bit long but if theres no real rush its worth it because of the prices they have.

I say get them. I bought mine on e-bay for about five bucks shipped. I noticed a difference, and I think it's worth it.

You are right, there is surely a difference in both audio and video.

There is no difference in audio. Component only affects video.

If you need a longer cable
Most of the cables I found online were 6 ft cables. I was able to find an 8 ft cable at Target. It's more expensive ($19.99), but worth it for me. 6 feet, was about 2 inches too short for me. And yes, on my 65 inch tv, the quality is better. Especially the color. It was worth the money!!

480p is still in the realm of standard def TV's. Your component cables will make a very small improvement, but not one as noticeable as one with an HDTV (720p or greater) that's 32" or greater.

what are some of you using to hook up to pc? I saw a converter box on the link above, and a cable on ebay that plugs into the wii and monitor directly. Any recommendations?
p.s. don't mean to hijack the thread, but thought it would be better than starting a new one

One item that's not frequently discussed is the effect on the frames-per-second going from 480i to 480p.
Let's consider a game where the Wii is generating 60FPS internally (as in rendering and preparing for the output buffer - Mario Galaxy for example). If you're operating in 480i (Interlaced), the first 30 field will be sent to the screen (480i shows 1/2 or 240 per 1/60 of a second), *then* the next 30 fields, creating 30FPS (yes, even on an LCD, it deinterlaces by getting both fields, and displaying them together). The end result is 30FPS.
In progressive scan, the entire screen is displayed each time one of the 60 frames is generated (480 in 1/60th of a second) giving it 60FPS.
So from a technical standpoint the 480P mode creates more [complete] frames per second (assuming the game is coded as such). That's why one of the perks [of the component cable + 480P] has been cited as "allows game that support it to run at 60FPS). This *should* make the animation smoother, though as always, this is partially subjective, so YMMV.

has anyone had this problem?
I bought a $6 component cable from Monoprice.com. At first it looks good, then I cycle through the sources on my samsung tv, and i come back to the wii and everything is monochrome green, no blue to speak of?
I am going to buy the Official cables tonight, first switching inputs on my tv, hopefully that will be it.

Sounds like your cable is bad or the connections are loose.

^Or possibly mixed up the wires/input ports.
Edit: Guess you already thought of that.
I bought a set of 3rd party ones from BestBuy at a good price (more than $8 though). I picked them up at the same time I got my HDTV, so I've never actually compared the component to composite... Sounds like I might have to experiment with that.

Cheaper cables will not transfer the quality through as good as better quality component cables. You want to get the ones with gold connectors and high grade cabling. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Or something like that?!
