Stuck Disc
I have Wii Sports stuck in the Wii. My Wii comes on, and sometimes blinks blue a few times but the game wont eject after unplugging it from the wall, I've tried every button combination.

I have no idea. It's been sitting here for a greater part of a year collecting dust (not used once) because a disc has been stuck inside. I don't want to send it to Nintendo because I want to buy SSBB. I have also probably already voided my warranty. I need a way to get it out.
It says disc read error in the disc channel also.

Tried to pry it out. I need one of those special nintendo screwdrivers so I can take the beast apart and rip the game out. I think the game was shoved in backwards.
Is there a way to eject from inside the menu?

Okay I got Wii sports out, but now it STILL says "Disc Read Error" with no game in it. Those metal things are closed in front of it also.

Its the safety pins. The CD drive of the Wii is exactly the same as a car CD system. It has two pins on the loader tray that will pop up when a disk is inside the disk drive. This prevents you from jamming another disk ontop of the one inside of it. Might not have been you but someone tryed to jam another disk into the diskdrive bent the pins back and now they are in a direction that will not let the disk eject "or even spin in some cases a.k.a. your disk error" even when it trys the pins are bent back holding the disk in place. I found this out when my 4 year old son did tryed to toss in a blues clues DVD into the Wii ha ha... I had to tear it apart to figure it out.
You could probably use very small needle nose pliers or something of the sort and try to grab each pin and pull them back to position. its going to be hard to locate them because of the black dust cover in the disk slot but just feel around grab and pull back very slowly and keep trying to eject after each attempt. It has very tight tollerances of where the pins can be to let disk in and out so be careful. If you have to tear into it all you need to remove is the front face plate nothing more you should be able to see anything wrong with it by then.
The only other reason I have had these types of disk drives hold a disk is if more than one does manage to get into the system it wont eject. best way to get them out is with small pliers "This will most likely ruining the game", or a couple of blank cd's or large tounge depressors using them to sandwich the disk and pull at the same time. You dont have to care about a blank cd getting scratched up they are only 10 cents a pop if that.
If when you hit eject you do not hear the eject motor trying to move it could have broken a belt or the motor is shot. No matter what may be the problem if you don't have experience with these things and dont feel like having your warranty voided "if you have any left" I would just send it to Nintendo and have them fix it for you. They have always been pretty decent about repair prices even after the warranty is up.

^ I hope he got his ass beat like REAL Michigander fathers do.
Nah, that's a great post. SEND IT INTO NINTENDO, I'm sure Wezeles is just a bit more handy than you are. (Original poster)
Also...what the hell? "I didn't want to send it into Nintendo because I wanted to buy SSBB." You make no sense...

I already voided the warranty by taking the side off. I'll call Nintendo to see what I can do. I might have to register it for the extended warranty.
