Replacement plan

So I haven't researched too much into it but do he Wii's have a tendency to break down? I was wondering because Best Buy offers a 2 year in store replacement plan for $35 and I was wondering if it would be worth while to invest in this or not. Your thoughts please.

I wouldn't because the majority of Wiis do not break down or have any problems. Let's say it doesn't break, you can send it to Nintendo to get fixed/get a replacement.

Ok thank you for the reply. Also, is it safe to leave your Wii on for long periods of time? I know the 360 should be turned of if you are not using it but then my PS2 has been left on for many hours at a time and has never had anything wrong with it.

its usually NEVER a good idea to leave anything running for hours at a time. I out of principal always unplug my wii once i am done playing. Maybe i am just paranoid?

And Best Buy is only trying to increase their profit margin with those "extended warranties". They're nothing more than an insurance policy and they'll do their best to push it on you.
