Wii Classic Controller ?
I was wondering if i should get the classic controller for wii (for those of you that dont know, its the one that looks like an snes controller). Im starting to get big on virtual console games, and i have SSBB. For me, i think it would be a good idea because the controller works for brawl and it will work for other upcoming wii games.
So waddya guys think, should i get it?

i have 2. they're great for the VC games. it's the only controller i use on SSBB. and the GC controller sucks for SNES games.

I might have said this in a different thread, but the gamecube controller can be a huge pain on most of the VC games. I would recommend getting the classic controller. It has a good feel to it, and is extremely easy to use on many Wii games as well.
*Personally, I've been using the Wii remote on Smash Bros., but sometimes it's nice to have 3 taunts instead of one. :P

I like this one, since the Classic Controller didn't feel like a controller. However, I didn't like the Gamecube controller because I'm used to the button layout of the Classic Controller. I use this controller... it's kinda like a mix of Gamecube and Classic. It's good for Brawl and Virtual Console games.

If it's going to help your gameplay, then I suggest that you get it. It probably helps on brawl if you played melee.

none "require" the classic controller. it's just easier with SNES games. the gamecube controller is harder to use. there are multiple wii games that you can use the classic controller with (SSBB, mariokart, DBZ, ect..)
you can only download the vitual console games from the shop channel. the wii will only let you play the virtual console games that were downloaded onto that wii.

For SNES games I think that the Classic Controller is the deal. But for Mario Kart, Smash Bros and all of the N64 Virtual Console games I think you should get the GameCube controller.

I think the Classic controller is really sweet, most of the VC games I play are SNES anyways, but it's easily manageable with N64 and other console games, just takes a little getting used to at first.

Super Mario Bros. is really difficult with the cube controller too. It's a pain in the ass to run and jump at the same time or directly after one another. I wish that Nintendo included the ability to program the buttons to one's liking.
