Sometimes Companys dont think things through !!! This is a modded classic controller with the cord at the top, The way Nintendo should have made it. Although I love Nintendo, I think it was really dumb for Nintendo to put the cord on the bottom. They should have made it wireless or hard wired directly to the Wii console. But at least dont put the cord on the bottom of a controller so it gets into our way.. I wonder why they built it this way??

Thats the classic controller except cord on top

Maybe the cord is at the bottem because they assume you will be resting the WIImote somewhere beside you.

Is the Classic controller worth buying or are a couple of GC controllers all you need?

That was as annoying as hell.

I suggest the GC controller because of its simple button layout. It's hard to play SNES games though.

From experience, the GC controller is the opposite from a simple layout when you compare it to the classic controller.
It seems a little weird the way the modded version looks, but I guess that's because i'm so used to the regular version. I never really thought too much about it. I guess I would be satisfied either way the chord was made.

i dont have a classic controller. but i really dont think the cord at the bottom would annoy me so much. however...i have never experienced it...so maybe it will.

they should have made it wireless like has been said before. I dont like having the wires all over the place. I can understand the argument that they wanted to maintain optimum fidelity and save the consumer from having to purchase and or use an exhuberant amount of batteries, but I'm sure they still could have done SOMETHING a little better than what they ended up with. Maybe not, who knows but I know I'll always wonder.

Simply put, the classic controller feels like a PS2 controller.

If that's your thing, then that's what you should pick up.

I prefer the Wavebird.

I'm guessing the two central shoulder buttons would be nearly unusable if the cord attached at the top.. .. .. at best your fingers would constantly rub on it.

Maybe that's why Sega doesn't make systems anymore.
