wii won't read any game discs

we haven't played our wii a bunch yet, and yesterday we got the new mariokart game, played it for an hour and quit, now last nite when we tried it nothing, won't read disc, tried other games won't read them either, we have called nintendo they said to send it in, but i was on here and seen all the problems peeps are having. can you get a lens cleaning disc that will fix the problem, just wondering, thanks for looking

If the lens was dirty, then it would affect other games besides Mario Kart.

none of our games play. i seen somewhere if u get some air in a can and shoot short bursts in the slot that works other wise , got to it in, kind of sucks though the thing is only 3 weeks old

If it's only 3 weeks old it shouldn't have gathered enough dust to block the laser pickup, unless your house is ridiculously dusty.

Canned "air" can help sometimes. Not sure about those fake discs with brushes meant for dusting off the lens... they might not fare well with the slot-loading type drives like the Wii (they're meant more for tray-loading drives).

i played with it and now it works, lol our apartment is pretty clean, but maybe i'll have some compressed air on standby
