Why don't you just get the classic controller?

They probably like the GC controller setup better. In my case, I don't like that you have to plug the Classic Controller into the Remote. It is much cheaper to buy GC controllers for multiplayer than Classic Controllers because you need a Remote for every Classic Controller.

I think some people on here are interested in the gamecube controller for some of their gamecube games?? And not just the VC games.
And as we all know, the classic controller does not play the GC games.

Yeah nihilism, that's the one I'm referring to.

It appears to be third-party though, meaning it probably blows.

I talked to my local used games store and since they sell imported controllers I asked them to get some of the Official White Gamecube Controllers from Japan and they have 8 on the way. I am going to purchase 2 of them and he said they are only charging $25 a piece ($5 markup from the Japanese price) so it will be a good deal unlike Ebay where they are average about $32-$35(including shipping).

How is that worth scrapping a perfectly good controller versus just buying an extension cable for it? I recently bought 4 x 6' GC extension cables off of eBay for $12 shipped. I can't get the controller to work with all 4 connected but I can with any 3 of them (not that I really need a 28' controller cable or even a 22' one).

.... the wireless gamecube controllers work on the wii, we already had some for the gamecube, they work great -- no one wants to be corded....

Yeah I have noted that also, but the controllers for your gamecube, wired and cordless (we prefer the cordless) will work on the wii, we have a home system with a 54 inch flat, so easier to go cordless. Since we already had the gamecube and it's controllers, no need to buy new ones for the wii.

I got them yesterday and they rock. We put them side-by-side with the normal US controller by Nintendo and the cords are 4 feet longer.

Does wavebird have force-feedback? So far all 3rd party wireless controllers for Gamecube I have seen suck because they have no rumble and the controllers just don't feel as good (especially the d-pad, and analog sticks, usually the buttons stick or are loud).

Oh and they were $29 a piece which is a $4 markup from the US price of Gamecube controllers.

sweet looking controller, all the used controllers at my local gamestop are either very worn or look like they have baby puke on them. so i have still yet to find a decent used game cube controller around. i wouldnt mind picking up that white one...

Edit: I don't see options for images anymore? I tried img tags and they did not work.
Very nice find. I bought silver NGC controllers as they at least matched the Wii's stand but white would be better and longer cables would be great (i currently only have 1 extension cord so the rest need to sit close to the tv).
