Change remote control settings?

I just bought Super Mario World for my little cousin and the settings that are set for the gamecube controllers are so hard to play with! Ughhhh...im so good at this game and now I totally suck Anyone way to change or format them differently?? Thanks

Unfortunately not, I had the same problem when I first downloaded the game :\ The only way around it is to buy a Wii classic controller, which has the buttons laid out like they are on SNES controllers.
