Wii Component Cable Question/s...

Today i purchased the Offical Nintendo Wii Component Cables, thinking that they would make the most of my LG 108cm HDTV, i bought them home plugged them in and found out that the images were all hazy and pixelated. Also on the Home Menu the top 3 icons were half missing....

I went into Wii Settings and tryed numerous setting combinations but nothing seems to work.
Should i return the cables and have $44 store credit at JB HiFi or is that what the cables do.

Any help much appreciated....

108cm...thats what? 42inches? You've got the same TV I have, and I've had no issues with adding a Component cable, which one did you get? Was it the Third party one or one released by Nintendo?

Hmm, don't think I can help you, I bought the Pulse ones, (before I knew Nintendo released some) and they've been working fine. At first I thought there was an issue, with all my games not being centered, but that turned out to be the games them selves.

I've found that the Wii in general looks a little hazy, simply because of the graphic nature of the console. It'll never be as crisp as a 360 or PS3.

But you definitely shouldn't have icons missing, and it shouldn't be TOO hazy.

Just recheck your settings everywhere. Make sure your cables are plugged in correctly, and that your TV and Wii are set to component and 480p, respectively.
