Finally got my hands on a Wii... played for about 15min... all was well. Decided to connect it to the internet... it did... it said that there was an update available, so I downloaded it. That went fine. Then after the download it said something like would you like to add shop or some shit like that, I said yes, the screen went blank, I figured it was updating or something, after 15 min of nothing I hit the reset button, no response, hit the power button and powered down the Wii. Turned it on, nothing, no startup screen, no Nintendo logo, NOTHING. I did notice that the screen appeared kinda scrambled. Turned off again, unplugged. Checked all the connections, good. Tried a different TV, same thing. Tried to sync everything and I can get the controllers to do their initial blink, but get no response from the Wii itself. In disbelief I tried to put a game disc in, it would not even take in the disc.... the blue lighting around the disc slot lit up like a disc was partially in/out but there is no disc in it, pressing the eject button does nothing, not even a internal sound. The unit is getting power and is connected correctly. Nintendo said to ship it to them and it would be like 11-14 days... just wondering if there was anything I could try before I ship it to them.... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Almost guarantee that your Wii had been modded, and updating ****ed it up.
