Wii to Component to VGA cable issues

Hey guys,

I've got a BenQ V2400W Widescreen LCD which I've been trying to hook my Wii up to via the VGA input. I can't seem to get a signal. The used the following configuration:

Wii --> Component Cable (R,G,B) --> Component to VGA adaptor cable --> VGA input on LCD.

I've tried two different LCD's (Widescreen and Non-Widescreen) What am I doing wrong here? Thanks for your help!

Is it an adapter cable, or a VGA box?

Either way, make sure:

1.) The Wii is set to 480p, NOT 480i
2.) The cables are all securely plugged in
3.) The Wii is turned on BEFORE you turn the monitor on

And if you have the option, manually set the monitor to 640 x 480.

If your Wii is set to 480i, you will get no signal from the monitor.

If the screen is generally a tint of one specific color, it's a component cable issue, most likely. Recheck your connections. If that doesn't help, you may need to invest in a new cable.
