Hi everyone,

I've recently bought a Wii in the US and I'm now having problems connecting it to my PAL TV (the image is gray and twittering). My TV is HD-ready and supports component input (Y/Pb/Pr). My question is, if I buy a component cable for my Wii, will it solve my problem ? (Is there a single encoding for component video ?)

I'm not positive, but I *think* there are still PAL and NTSC versions of component video, so I believe you'll have the same problem. Are you sure your TV can't be flipped to NTSC input? I know many Euro versions of TVs can display both.

im with fronzdan here, in *thinking* that the PAL/NTSC coding will still be an issue with the component cables..

also in agreeing that many TVs i know here (in UK) will display both... my TV has played UK and US Wiis for example..

if the worst came to the worst, you can buy a 'transcoder box' which you would use to run the Wii's cable into, then run from that into the TV

job done

(plus they dont cost much either, which is a bonus)
