I have my wii connected via the composite cables in came with. However I want to use the more advance componant cables. Only 1 problem - the componant ports on my TV are currently being used by my DVD player. How do I get my DVD player AND Wii to connect via componant to my TV?

Also, I tried connecting the composite cables to my DVD player and then let the DVD player up-sample to composite via the composite cables I have running from my DVD player to my TV but i couldn't get my Wii showing on the TV screen that way.

Any ideas?

If your DVD player doesn't have component in/passthrough and you don't have a separate AV receiver, then you'd need to resort to a component switch.

I wouldn't pursue the composite route. You're missing out too much, especially if your TV is widescreen.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to get it working by doing just that. Got my dvd player and wii connected to a component switch and that connected to my TV. All it means is that i've got an extra remote.
