So this past weekend my apartment building got struck by lightning. The TV doesn't work anymore and the Wii won't even turn on. Does anyone know if Nintendo will replace it? Should I not mention my building was struck by lightning and just say it stopped working? I hear Nintendo has great customer service so I hope they can help me out.

Anyone had this happen?

Have you tried replacing the fuse in the plug?

Have you tried connecting your Wii to another Wii power supply?

These two things are more likely to have been affected first so it's best to check them before sending your Wii off, only to find that there is no fault on it.

If you have already checked the power supply then Nintendo will fix your Wii. They might charge you depending on whether they think the fault was caused by you and if it's still in warranty. In the UK the highest charge they advertise is £70.
