When I put a cd into my Wii, it buzzes something fierce. But when I play games from memory, like Mario Cart 64 there are no noises what so ever. Any thoughts?

I dunno for sure, but mine started doing that after it got overheated. The hard drive is fine, which is why you can play virtual console games but the cd drive might be overheated.

It's the disc reader. If it does this even after not being played for a few hours and within the first 10 minutes or so, there is a serious problem (you need to send your Wii in to Nintendo).
