Homebrew is perfectly legal it allows many things games, applications, and now more recently you can play DVD Videos on your Wii with out any modchip all you need is zelda tlp an sd card and a sd card reader to get started. Wiibrew does not support pirating of Wii, Wiibrew, or Virtual Console games.

Didn't updates take out homebrew/brick wiis? Why do you need twilight princess?

I think the only reason they haven't fixed the twilight hack thing is because the Wii is incapable of patching games (which is WOULD BE TOTALLY FREAKING GAY. Making separate thread.)

Not to mention that everything about homebrew and the twilight hack have a thousand warnings everywhere saying BE CAREFUL YOUR WII MIGHT BRICK/YOU NEED TO KNOW C++/etc.

The patch nintendo released just deleted the hacked save file off your Wii that was fixed in about 6 hours after it was released all those warnings in homebrew are just there to protect the people that make the homebrew i've been using homebrew for months now and so far nothings happened as long as your not messing with WADs and stuff of that sort then you should be pretty safe with most the stuff on WiiBrew stuff from other places I wouldn't quite trust though.

What do you mean no its not allowed? Homebrew is perfectly legal as long as it doesn't contain copy righted code and its not pirated software.
