Animal Crossings Wii speak

I heard that the new animal crossing comes with a microphone called wii speak(you don't hold it in your hands) so on WFC you can talk(out of your mouth)to other people around the world.

You cansee Wii speak in action at www.ign.com click wii at the top then click videos and search animal crossing the video is called E3 2008:conference part 2

Yeah I think a lot of people have seen the videos already or know about the feature.

But it's a nice feature and I can't wait for it when it comes out.

Unfortunately, it's been confirmed by Nintendo that the WiiSpeak peripheral won't come bundled with Animal Crossing.

But why should players be forced to buy WiiSpeak just to get Animal Crossing? And vice versa. Not everyone wants voice chat who plays Animal Crossing, and not everyone who will use WiiSpeak down the line wants to buy Animal Crossing.

97% of the people who want to buy animal crossing will immediatley want Wiispeak with the game and for those who dont want animal crossing but do want Wiispeak can go but it seperately. Whos to say that if Wiispeak were bundled with animal crossing that that be the only way to get it?

Of course it will. The Conduit is already confirmed to have it incorporated in their online portion of the game.

All I have to say is...ITS ABOUT TIME! Playstation and Xbox had their mic since forever. Its about time nintendo stepped their game up and quit being so STUCK up about doing things away from what can HELP them grow.

Darnit, nintendo makes me so mad sometimes...making just really careless business decisions...

I do believe Wii Speak is a 'good' idea, with both pros and cons compared to a headset. I won't bother going indepth with those as I'm not exactly a genius in such debates, but I will bring up the ever-so-common question about WiiSpeak. Is it compatible with older games? Also, how exactly does it function? Do you need to have it connect to a specific hardware function in the game, or does it just work on all wi-fi games? The real question is will I ever get answered thoroughly..

No, I don't think it's backwards compatible and it probably goes into one of the usb lookin' things on the back of the wii/
