My question will perhaps seem silly to some of you but I'll ask anyway. You'll have to understand that I'm only fourteen and know basically zilch about anything technical. =]

So yeah. My question: Will a Wii Fit Balance Board and software (whatever comes with it basically) both work in the UK if they are purchased in Cyprus?

I've been told by some people it will and some people that it won't so you can understand why I'm confused. Because I can't get my hands on one anywhere in the UK, my cousin has offered to take one over when she returns to Scotland in a couple of weeks. It would help if I knew whether it was actually going to work or not first. =P

Thanks in advance for any help, and for not laughing in my face. Please don't. xD

It's my understanding that there are three different zones (maybe more) and that all of Europe is included in the same zone, just the same as NA is included in one zone and Asia is included in one zone. I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

If so, then the balance board will work with all European Wiis.

Personally, I think it would be fine. I would dare to say that Cyprus probably has the same region code as the UK (PAL). With that said, both the board and software/game should work.

What you should do before your buy is to look at the box and completely go over top to bottom. Somewhere on that box, it will say where it can be played.

Ex.:

'For sale, rental and use only in USA, Canada, Mexico and Latin America'

or

"Only for use in Australian and New Zealand systems" and "PAL" on the front. "

or something to that effect. If it says, "For use in European systems only" then I would say that your safe on the purchase.
