SD Memory Card Possibility Question

Hey, I have no idea as to what the answer is to this question, so I may sound stupid, but, since you can save Virtual Console. games to a SD card, could you copy the VC games and send them to friends, and download VC games for free? Is this possible or did they design the Wii so you can't do this?

The VC games can only be played on your Wii console...even if you tranbsfer them to an SD card.

nope, still looks stupid..

cuz obviously nintendo pays millions and millions of dollars to developers...yet still a very simple concept of stealing their games would OBVIOUSLY work..

the VC games, when downloaded, are linked to your console, and your console alone, if you bring it to a friend's..it wont work

It may still be possible. No one we know of has hacked the game files/security software to figure out what needs to be done to change the files for your particular Wii or bypass the security all together.

In theory someone with the knowledge and tools could take two identical games downloaded on two different wiis and compare them to see what is diferent between the two. This would tell us what needs to be changed to be able to put it on another system.

As of now you could spend the $50 or so to but a GC mem card SD reader and GC Action replay, then do some reasearch on how to use them to load any pre N64 game you want.
