im getting a wii for x-mas and i wanted to know if the wii has a built in wi-fi internet thing or do i have to buy a wireless router?

it has built in wifi but you gotta have wifi in your house for it to pick up the signal. in other words, you need a wireless router

Did you even look at the specs for the Wii? Of course it has built in wi-fi. And NO it can't just magically connect to the internet without some sort of access point that you provide.
