Okay, so my girlfriend tells me she wants a DS. Then I say I'm getting a Wii. She tells me that the Wii is boring and not worth the money. I want your honest opinion: is this true?

The wii by itself yes is very boring, it just sits there and flashes a blue light at you (if you are lucky).
Now once you start using the Wii with controllers and games, then I would never describe it as boring. If you ever get bored with the game YOU are playing on the Wii, that doesnt make the Wii boring, it makes your choice of game boring. There are many exciting titles available for the Wii.

The Wii is far from boring but I can tel you one thing, the novelty surely wears off quickly. I still enjoy the standard way of gaming just a BIT more than the way the Wii went. But is it BORING? Hell no.

First, ask here WHY it's dumb. Just by saying 'it's dumb' doesn't make it anything. If she has a reason, listen to her (Since she's your girlfriend). Also, unless you're in college or even high school, don't bother listening. You're still young and it's not like they live with you yet or anything. Until then, Get the Wii if you want it.
