If you're planning on connecting it to a wireless network, set up your router now.

You will need to change your router's channel to 1

and set it to b/g mixed mode.

Then when you get your Wii all you will need to do is add it's MAC address to your router.

Why do you need to change the router's channel? You don't have to do that!

Some routers have trouble getting the Wii to pick up channel 6 but will always pick up channel 1

I use channel 8 most of the time. I really don't think it matters, but sounds like a good routine to set it to 1 if you're having problems.
