ok i do not have wireless, and the ethernet adapter seems a little too expensive,
would it work if i bought a double USB cable like this:

and connected it from my Wii to my PC while my PC is hooked into the cable modem?

Nope, won't work. I think Nintendo is going to release an Ethernet USB adapter soon.

no, cuz then a software to recognize the wii would be needed. just get a usb wifi dongle like the nintendo brand one

you can't transfer a network connection over usb, just eithernet and Firewire
