I have just about had enough trying to get my wii to finish the system update having connected successfully with my router. I have spent over £15 in phone calls to the Nintendo service centre and they haven't solved the problem. I have a new console and it still doesn't work. Every time it gets so far then I get error 32004!!

I have tried just about everything either over the phone with Nintendo or by reading forums.

From memory, I have tried.......

- Putting the wii's mac address into the router so it is trusted
- Putting the ip address of the router and its DNS information into the wii
- Moving the router
- Disabling the port scanning in the router
- Setting hte DMZ server to the wii in the router
- Different channels 1, 11 etc
- Different MTU values 1492, 1500
- Enabling and disabling wep security
- All combinations of the above

I think that is it.

PLEASE - can anybody help??

Hi. I had the same problem and I think I solved it by going to security service under the content filtering header and unchecking the box that says "Enable Trend Micro Security Services".

hope this works for you, I was trying all kinds of things before I came across it.
