Connecting wii to internet with airport (mac)

Help! I am trying to connect my wii to the internet via airport on my mac. I find the access point but for some reason when I try to test the connection it gives me an error question. Please help!

Well.....What error did it give you? If your network is encrypted you might want to try to re-enter the code.

No there is no wep key. It said that it couldn't connect please consult the manual for more imformation. (Which I did but it didn't help)
