Livebox -_- Wii -_- Why!? Help Me!

Well, i have done exactly what many guides have told me to do on how to connect the Orange Livebox to the Wii. Im really fustrated! Why wont it connect? Im wondering if it is because of the distance? Becuase seriously (not being arrogant) but my house is sliglty on the wide side. However not deep so not actually that big...just wide. Ahh im missing the point. Well i have the router on side of the house and the wii on the other, i wonder if thats the case and i want to know if any of you guygs know whats the wireless reaching area. How far will the wireless connection go?

i suggest having your wii console located within distance of this.... umm... orange livebox you say? explain what it is please.
