Hi, I wanna know what's the minimum internet speed that the Wii should have without having to lag in online games such as MOHH2

Here is my speed and ping:

What's a good ping?

Also, please note if you played the online games and you didn't lag [EXCLUDE OTHERS WHO LAG]

and please post your results from speeedtest.net even if you lag or did not lag

TELL ME YOUR RESULTS FROM SPEEDTEST.NET
THEN TELL ME IF YOU LAG IN ANY ONLINE WII GAMES OR NOT

I don't have any lag in Mario Strikers Charged really. I'm not sure how that compares to Medal of Honour.

I get lags in Mario Striekrs.. a lot!

but here's my connection speed:

from fresno, ca to new york.

that's weird...

so maybe the download speed is not the cause of the lag... maybe it's the ping...

16 is a good ping
100+ is a poopy ping.

but who knows thats to a calgary server, which i can guarantee wii will not have.

Ping speed can be critical. But that also varies greatly depending on what server you are communicating with and how many jumps it has to make to get there.

for people who dont know wat ping is:

ping is your connection to the game or server etc

so if u have a low ping from around 0 to 100 thats pretty good

but if you have a high ping 100 and higher you might have some serious lag issues

thats hardly a definition of ping.
ping is the number of milliseconds it takes for information to travel to and from your wii and the server that you are playing on.
there for high ping = more time in between you preforming the control and it actually registering.
hence why high ping = lag.

Well it doesn't depend on just your ping. Your ping looks fine, and as long as the other players are similar, and the sever is under normal load, you should be lag free.

If a person joins on your game, and they're in like Uzbekistan with a 750ms ping, then you would probably lag no matter how good your ping is.
