Just got my wii and trying to set up the internet connection. Getting 51330 and 51332 errors.

My router => Linksys WRT54G v8 with the newest firmware

When setting up the connection through the Wii, it sees the connection, it just fails the test. I know the wireless security key is correct, it is a WPA TKIP setting. I left MTU alone at 0. I changed the router channel from 6 (first) to 1 to 11 (current) with no changes or success. My mac address option is disabled (as suggested in the online help). The wireless is set as Mixed (as opposed to G). I have cycled the router and modem.

Thanks in advance. I have tried all the suggestions at the nintendo.com support site...

So it will help it connect better. Why won't you use wired?

Wifi isn't for everyone. Problems can arise from things like reception, distance and obstacles between your router and the Wii, other access points in your vicinity clogging up the channels, and other 2.4GHz devices causing interference.

Some things might be beyond your control and unfixable, making wifi not an option for you. There's the LAN adapter. There's also ethernet over powerlines, which could be handy.

wifi is an option....I have an xbox 360 sitting right next to my Wii with zero problems. I have a laptop right next to the Wii with a strong connection and no problems.

I can get a usb wireless for my desktop and move my modem and router and go wired...but I would rather make the wifi work......because it should!

You didn't read my post. Wifi isn't always an option if environmental or other circumstances get in the way.

First make sure the console is unplugged from the wall. Then hook up the LAN adapter to the router and all that. Plug the console back in and try a connection test.
