Hi
Should it be possible to connect my Wii to the internet via a Datel Wii LAN Adaptor plugged into my laptop's ethernet port (setup for Internet Connection Sharing - ICS)? I normally use the ethernet port on my laptop to allow my wife's laptop to connect the the internet - should I be able to do the same with the Wii? My modem / router only allows one device to connect to it at a time and isn't wireless, so I can connect it that way. Any help gratefully received. Miles |

I had my wii online with a Netgear wgr614v8 and it worked fine but the signal wasn't great for my laptop so I bought a Netgear Rangemax WPN824v3. Now I can't get the Wii connected. It finds the access point, but then the connection test fails and I get a 52030 error code - according to Nintendo this mens that there is a security/firewall issue. I have disabled the SPI firewall and tried different channels, Mac filtering is off. And still I cannot connect. I've tried setting mac address access, no help. I'm in a rural area so I don't have any encryption (WEP, etc.) enabled. the Wii shows that it picks up a stong signal. I've tried everything I can think of plus any recommendation I found online. NO LUCK!! HELP!!!

Hi!
I just purchased a Wii system and I'm trying to connect via my wireless router. It's a Linksys Wireless-G VPN Router, Model no WRV200 This is connected to my PC (cable internet connection) via a modum, and I used this wireless router when I needed to connect my laptop to the internet. I have since discontinued the laptop use but now want to use this router (if it's possible) to connect my Wii to the internet. Can you walk me through the stages bearing in mind that I'm not too computer literate! I tried last night but when I got to the security component, I entered what I thought was the code for the router and the connection test failed. I'd be really grateful for any help you could give me! |

My Wii is hooked up via Wifi. I have a device nearby that I would like to be hooked up to the internet as well, but it has no wireless connectors. Is there anyway to hook the Wii up through the USB port and have the second device connect to the net THROUGH the Wii?

It's obvious to me that there are a ton of people out there that are having problems connecting their Wiis to the Internet. Why doesn't Nintendo have a 'consumer help' page', i.e one page of their website with on-line techical support?
It's frustrating only to receive 'answers' to my post that mimic my problem. I have spent a lot of money purchasing Nintendo games and systems - and I'm not pleased with their customer support, or lack theoreof! |

Alright, my family just got a Mac Mini and it says we should be able to hook up the Wii to it. I've googled manuals for it, but nothing seems to work!
Anyone know of a solution?
