Hey,
I just updated my Wii (to something like Menu 4.0), and after realizing that I could move channels to my SD card to free up some space for more virtual console downloads, I moved several channels, including the Internet channel, to the SD card I had (still have) in the system. All was working fine until I went to the Wii Shop channel (still running off the Wii Memory, not the SD card), and was unable to connect to the internet. I have been using a wired connection (via the LAN-USB converter box), and haven't had an issue until now. I then went to my Wii settings to run a connection test for the Wired Connection and it failed. Virtually nothing had changed but the memory configuration of some of my channels. Is there any way to confirm what the problem is and hopefully resolve it? Thanks |

I have a linksys wireless router. It is WRT1500N
Now before I had the router I had the usb. It worked fine. We got one and then it stopped working and we couldn't connect but only detect it. I thought it was broken and I bought a new one, and I haven't been able to get the setup finished. Is it the settings, firewall or something else? |

HI I have the same problem repeatedly. Im trying to connect via my time capsule wireless router (set to bridge mode) and speedstream 5200 modem. I setup a wireless connection, the connection test always works, but then I go to confirm agreement at wiiConnect52 and I get an error code that I cant connect to internet. Ive visited the router troubleshooting pages but it doesnt seem to help. Do I have to open any ports? Do my problems have anything to do with the speedstream modem? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Hey, my computer is about 30ft away from my Wii and I was wondering whether I should get wired or wireless internet [my computer has wireless internet (but its horribly slow if that matters)] I was thinking about a wireless router but i didnt know if I could trust that enough for how much it cost, so then I looked at the Wii LAN and that looks good but I don't know how to connect it to my computer, thanks

Hello Pro gamer,
Newbie to all things wii I wanna connect to the internet I have a fixed cable setup at home. Is it just a case of unplugging the ethernet cable from the back of my modem and sticking it in the wii usb adaptor? or do I need a router? |
