Hi, I'm new, and I've got Wii issues.
I'm getting the impression that it wants me to tinker around with my IP address and what not, but I'm no Networking Genius.
Currently, the error I'm getting is #220602. I just bought a LAN line connector and I have it hooked up to my Hardwired DSL router. My PC runs XP, my ISP is TDS Telecom. My router is a Actiontec DSL Gateway. I'll be on for a while if anyone with some insight is on right now.

Try this:
1.On your PC, click "Start" and then "Run."
2.Type "CMD" into the the new window that just popped out.
3.Type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press "Enter" to show a list of internet settings. with the "DNS" settings. Input these into the "Manual Setup" of the Wii console's internet connection.

Having some online problems here...
Last night we were on the Everybody Votes Channel, but it wouldn't let us vote, it said we weren't connected. We then tried to access some of the other online channels (News, Weather, Check Mii Out) and got the same message...not connected.
Fast forward to this morning...I tried the online channels again, and could get through on some of them, but not all of them...but as I kept trying, I got all of them to go through. I thought the problem was solved...then I started using my computer. As I was working online, I would notice that it kept going offline, then reconnecting. It was doing this every 10 minutes or so...I noticed it because webpages were not loading, and I could see my MSN Messenger icon in my toolbar as either offline or trying to connect. I called our ISP and he did an antenna check (we're on wireless broadband) and said our antenna is working great. He suggested removing the router and other peripherals from the equation to see if that makes a difference, then start adding things back in.
Could the Wii be booting us offline? Especially with the connectivity problems we were having with it last night? Or is/was there an issue with the WiiConnect system?
For reference, our system is hard wired...the signal is wireless from the tower to the house, but once it reaches the house, it's wired to the router, and all peripherals are wired from the router. We have our desktop computer, our TiVo, and our Wii hooked into the router. The lights on the router are flashing, and when I was checking the Wii, the lights on the Wii LAN adaptor were flashing.
Any tips/suggestions/info greatly appreciated!

Ohh I haven't heard of that, if someone leeches connection off you does that cause anything like that?
Cause if its unlocked, then yeah someones probably hogging your wifi. i'd say check the router and see the connection points by runnign tests on the wii, and see the range and all that.
hope it helps. n__n;;;
I'm having an annoying problem but I think it's just the games.
On wifi (WiiConnect24) everything works fine, when I run connection tests it says that I have a pretty good connection 2-3 bars.
When I enter wifi the first time on any game it goes through and after 5 minutes it boots me off saying that I have no connection.
Run the test again, internets fine. Connect to wifi on the game, it says its not connected
all the wii channels that need wifi are using it correctly, the games on the otherhand don't seem to grab the signal or something. o.o

You probably need a stronger connection.

Going on 2 1/2 weeks straight where all i get is "seeking" when trying to find random people to play in SSBB. People on my friends list, I can play, and can also spectate. Any idea when the issue will be fixed? I can't be the only one on this board with these issues.

I understand that my Wii can connect to other users via Internet to game play. My Wii connects and I can check the weather and news but don't know how to connect with someone to play (ie: bowling) on line ... help.

You know whats pretty amusing....
MARIO KART, I can connect to anyone in the world, and play them, lag free.
Nintendos "Franchise" title, SSBB, I can't connect to any general people. Can only connect for spectator, or friends. How strange is that. I have yet to see any official word that a fix/patch will be made for SSBB. So for now, it collects dust.

I think every US gamer with Brawl has complained about the online capabilities on this forum somewhere or another, I think I can safely say "You aint the only one "
I wouldnt hold your breadth for a fix anytime in the near future for it though.
Agreed Mario Kart every time i've played online so far lagg free, and never taken much time to find a game to join upto either, Lets hope when its released in america it doesnt overload there only servers and screw it up

You probably need to move your router closer or go wired.
