Hey AstonVilla - your issue is most likely to be that in the Huawei's config you've got it set to 'hidden SSID'......... if you change this to, 'show SSID' then when the Wii looks for AP's it will find it. It's very unlikely that your problem is due to distance between the console and the wireless router - I get a full signal at well over 50 foot using an ancient Belkin.

I think you have to update in order to play. But you can still try.

No. you will probably need a modem for that and the wifi usb connecter connects into your wii. You can try to use the lan adapter for wired and you will probably not need a router.

You will probably need the lan adapter or USB wifi connecter. Sometimes it won't work with the router alone.

Hey everyone, I was getting the dreaded error code 110213 when trying to connect to the internet. I called up Nintendo and they told me to ship it out to them, they paid for 2 day shipping and everything. About a week later (today) I got it back with a note saying they verified my problem and repaired the console.
However, I start it up, and everything is the same. i still get error 110213 while connecting to the internet, and all my Mii's, saved games, etc are still there. It's like they got it, threw a note in the box and shipped it right back to me. Am I missing something here big time?

got this response so what do you think i should do?
ps where does the wifi usb from nintendo go in the wii or in the laptop
Hello,
Thank you for your email about connecting your wii to your usb modem.
Unfortunately the usb modem is not a WIFI device. It uses a sim card the same as a mobile phone to connect to our mobile network. This means it does not broadcast a signal that your wii can log onto for internet access.
We cant support the nintendo wifi adapter. In theory as long as you can connect to the internet OK using your usb modem then the nintendo wifi adapter should connect as well. If it doesn't this is something you would need to take up with nintendo I'm afraid.
I'm sorry I couldn't be more help on this occasion, if I can be of any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact us again.
Kind regards
Ross

Try to use a Usb wifi connecter or the lan adapter.

doesnt say that here
The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is an accessory, developed jointly by Nintendo and Buffalo Technology, which allows Nintendo DS and Wii users without a Wi-Fi connection or compatible Wi-Fi network to establish one via a broadband-connected PC. Inserted into the host PC's USB port, the connector functions as Nintendo DS and Wii, permitting the user to connect to the Internet to play Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection games and various other online functionality.
