Hey, my Wii finds and recognizes my router, but i get an "IP conflict error" on my Wii, i think my computer and Wii are trying to use the same IP address, how can i change this?

Hello, my wii recognizes my wireless and can use it...
But when I try to connect with my ds,it says "This type of security is not supported by nintendo".
But the wii is from nintendo and accepts the connection.

Hi, weeks ago, I got my nintendo wi-fi usb connector, and got it set up properly, so I don't have to disable my firewall to use it. I did that through this site. However, Brawl needs different ip's to be allowed through the firewall, because when I have it enabled, I can't find any peers. Disabled I can play fine. But no one on that site will answer me and it's a bitch to keep disabling my firewall. Please help

Well, the Pokemon Diamond game uses WiFi to do trading. All I remember having to do was Input WEP key and your Router name. After I put those two in then the DS WiFi worked fine. (Minus the occasional disconnection and etc that happens with pretty much any wireless internet)

I'm sure I put the exact same WEP key and Router name in the Wii, but it still won't accept it.

try getting the wifi usb conecter for wireless or the lan adapter for wired. My wii also detected my router but it didn't work until I got the lan adapter.

why not just disable the fire wall?

WPA and other security settings don't work on the ds. only the WEP security setting works on the wii and DS. You will need to either change your security settings on your router to WEP or remove all security.(I would rather change it to WEP).

Well, I used WEP on the DS. So it was able to connect. I've tried using WEP on the Wii when I had it, and it occasionally connected, though it more or less connected for 5 seconds then disconnected.

The Wii does have a WPA setting, and I'd figure it should work. But can you explain how to change the security setting to WEP? I have Microsoft XP if that helps, and the router is a 2Wire router or something?

How can I change it?
Im not good with routers...
Only thing im good at with computers is HTML.
