Hello,
Basic question here. Got a new Wii and am getting a wireless AP to connect to my wired router. Do I need anything else to get Wii on line? Will it auto-detect my network? Thanks.

Hi, I've had the wi-fi usb connector since 9/07, but it's not working now. I've uninstalled...reinstalled and now it's giving me a internet sharing connection error 6. I have xp.

ok i have a wii and a usb connector but since my firewall is on i cant play online how can i take off mi firewall then put it back on?

Hello I have been having a problem with my wii and now router. 1 day after i got it out of the box the wiiconnect24 failed to connect, 8 days later it still is a problem, today was my first day off in a while so I tried to fix it. I use to be able to get on wii net and smash bros. Now I tried to fix the wiiconnect24 problem with the online forum from nintendo.com and now I cant do anything but play smash bros. Plz help

I also called tech support and the tech was baffled and said it was the most wierd thing he ever heard

Well i'm new but I am having a problem I have had with my Nintendo DS for a long time.

Today for quite a bit I had been setting up my Wii online for Mario Kart, it gave me my friend and wii codes and i sent mii's and stuff to my friends who also have wii's lol but eventually when I got the thing done it said "error code 82640" and that also happens when I try to connect to the internet with my Nintendo DS (however on the test thing it says it's successful) however, i've tried everything with my DS but nothing seems to change, so I think it is either my internet connection but I am not sure.

I'd like to go online one day though in any of my games lol, does anyone know what the REAL problem is, or should I get a different router, like a real Nintendo one?

We're having issues with opening the wii wifi usb connection registration tool on the pc... We just recently re-installed XP and everything else, but this one thing is just not opening! Meaning: it worked before the drive was reformatted... Any advice?

Please can you help.
We started having problems on Saturday with playing Mario Kart online. We would suddenly disconnect in the middle of a race or before the race started.

I changed the channel to 1 from 2, re-set the internet settings, but find I cannot perform a system update or playonline without the same thing happening.

I am sure there is nothing wrong with the orange livebox as I cannot connect my laptop as usual.

Can you give me any idea on what to do? We really miss playing online.

how much does the wireless internet adapter cost?
and do i need to keep my computer on? or i just need to keep my modem online?

If you can still find one the Nintendo USB dongle costs about £27.98

You can buy a compatible wireless router for around the same money that is easier to install and more flexible in what it can do.

If you do go for the dongle then the PC it's attached to has to be wired into the router/ modem and must be on when you want to use the wireless access point it creates.

The router is kinda complicated, i must contact the ISP and else.. so I think I'll go with dongle, I just need to plug the cable onto the PC, and the flashdisc thingy onto the Wii right?

I bought a lan adapter, a usb one. All I have to do it hook it up to a usb slot, and put my wired ethernet cord in correct?

What's with the wireless adapter making the computer act as a wireless? I only have a wired connection and there isn't any wireless near-by. How would that work? Thanks.

Hi, I´m having problems to connect to internet, because I forgot the password and the game tells me to call to the wii number and give them some number, but i´m trying to call and it says me that the number is not on service.
What can i do??

look if there is a cable in the back that looks like my avatar it may not be red but it has the same port. if there is your comp is probbably wired

try sending your wii to nintendo to get it repaired
