dont actually use the official usb connector software most people never got it to work on google just look up how to make the nintendo wi-fi usb connector a soft ap. use the one at afterdawn.com u can then connect anything from it.

First you go on wii options. Then you go on wii settings. Next you click on internet. After that you go to connection settings. Then you click on the connection that says "none". Since you want to use wireless click on wireless connection. Then you click on search for an access point.

Problems getting wii online! PLZ HELP!
Hi all,
I'm new on here so firstly a big hello to you!!
As you have probably guessed, i need BIG help to grt my wii online plz!!
I am with Virgin Media on cable internet (set top box - modem - router) wireless via usb to PC , which works fine , however it doesn't want to know about the wii.
My router is a Netgear MR814v2 which i had since i was with telewest, and underneath it states that this product will only support one PC.
Because of this , i bought a Buffalo wi-fi gamers access point thinking this would resolve my problem but to no avail.
It will connect to the wii (with AOSS) but when testing connection it says unable to connect to internet!!
When i search for access point, the wii picks it up with full signal but the pacdlock stays on and i'm not sure which password to enter??
Can anyone plz give me the answer as the kids are driving me crazy!!!
Many thanks ,
Chris V.

I'm loving my Wii but getting it online is a mission in which I fail miserably.
Initially I had troubles (Error 52030) getting my Wii online but after changing some of the Router's (Netgear WPN824) settings and updating it to the latest firmware I finally managed to getting it online.
I have been online and the Wii's OS has been updated. I have browsed the weather channel, news etc and even played some Smash Bros.
But again the next day I get the Error 52030 and I can't get it online anymore. I have googled this error code and tried several things suggested but it all works for a while until I get Error 52030 again.
Does anyone have a similar problem?

please help
I was trying to find my problem, but didn't want to go through 27+ pages of posts. I'm hoping somebody can help me.
I have the lan adapter and I'm trying to connect to the internet. I followed the instructions and i keep getting error codes. I connected an ethernet cable into the lan adapter and then connected that cable straight into, what i think is the modem. I don't think its a router but i'm not computer savvy when it comes to networking.
I have road runner for internet service if that helps.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

internet connection / router
Hi I'm on Tiscali broadband and connect to it by plugging my modem into my laptop. I want to connect my wii to the internet and was thinking of using a router. Is it possible to get a router (cheaply) that I can connect my modem to and not have to have any wires going to my laptop or wii? I haven't got any other computer that I can hardwire a router to. Which router do you think is best for this? I'm trying to do it as cheap as possible. Thanks Sal

My Wii does the same thing, it connects sometimes but doesn't other times for no apparent reason, but I get error code 51330, nintendo support says it's security related, but if that's true then why did it work before? Can anyone help?

Question about Connection
Hey all,
I'm new to the Wii (3 days) but can already tell I'm gonna want to jump online with it. I have a couple questions before running out and buying more hardware. I plan on going wired, and have no interest in hooking up a wireless connection to it.
So, for hardware I'm seeing pretty simple Ethernet to USB adapters. I have a MediaCom Cable Modem, which has a USB output. Since I'm using the Ethernet cable to connect to my computer, can I simply run a USB cable from the modem to the back of the Wii? Or does it REQUIRE an extra adapter? I don't have a hub, so I'm trying to avoid over-complicating things.
If I need to buy the $25 LAN Adapter from BestBuy, will any Ethernet cable work, does it need to be a Crossover Cable if it's not going to run thru a hub, is there such a thing as a splitter that will allow me to split the Ethernet signal to 2 destinations, or is that essentially a hub (and an extra piece of hardware I don't really feel that I need)?
Any information you guys can provide would be appreciated...Thanks in advance for your time.
