I'm having router troubles.
I'm directly connecting to my Wii using a Nexxtech ethernet adapter
(ethernet -> USB). Before I changed any settings, I was able to connect to Nintendo's online service. The game I've been trying to play is SSB Brawl. I've always been able to spectate, but not join a game. So the first question is would this Nexxtech adapter be the problem?
I have a router made by Siemans, distributed by Telus to their customers. I have tried completely taking off the firewall, and enabling the DMZ for the Wii's assigned IP. Still the same problem, I can connect, but it lags or I can't play at all.
If you'd help out ProGamer, that would be great. If you need any other info., let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hey there! Had a question about getting my WII to connect to the internet. To use the internet here in Kuwait (Army boy) We connect to the Access Point and use our Username and Password to connect via a webpage that shows up one you open IE. Was wondering if there is anyway to either. A:Connect my WII to the AP and put in my Info.
B:Connect my Wii to my laptop and use the net via through it.
C: Download what I want to use on my Wii. IE games and such and transfer them over?
Thanks

I currently only play SSB:Brawl at the moment, and am able to connect online. My issue is when I connect online it's always hard to find players, I'll have to wait like 15 minutes or more for usually 1 person.
I've taken my Wii to two other houses and used the wireless internet there and every game found players to pit me against within seconds, I'm asuming something is wrong with my modem that is stopping my Wii.
I have a Actiontec GT704-WG modem, greatly appreciate any help. Maybe some settings I have to change or something, I would really like to play my own Wii at my own house.

ok...
I am a new Wii owner, never really messed around with networks etc. I use a laptop that is connected to a broadband model by a network cable, it has wireless capabilities and i have been able to set up (using vista) an 'ad hoc' network... i put in the security settings (user name and password) and i am able to see it using the network discovery on the Wii - however after i input my u/n and p/w it tells me that i have Error 51030 ...
any help at all would be appreciated, i would really like to get on and purchase some old S/NES games!
Brad

For the life of me I can't get the Wii to connect to my wireless system. I have two notebook computers & a Tivo that sync up with no problems. The Wii sees the SSID, but will not connect. I know I'm using the proper passphrase for the type of security I'm using (WPA-TSK) but it always generates a code 51330.
Nothing seems to work. It's a real bummer. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I am having very similar problems to some of you here ... our Wii was connecting just fine to my wireless router using WEP up until yesterday morning. We've downloaded several games, checked news, etc. It seemed quite happy to take our credit card and allow us to download games, but after that .... we are getting the 52xxx errors indicating an inability to connect to the wireless router. I have two other laptops in the same room, using the same WEP key, and they have zero problems connecting. We tried moving the Wii around the room to see if it was a reception problem or crosstalk from other wireless 2.4Ghz devices. No joy. I'm exceedingly knowledgeable about networking stuff, and frankly, this makes no sense. I have deleted and recreated the wireless connection profile several times, reset the Wii, reset the wireless router ... all to no avail. Using NetStumbler, I see the packets going to the router, and acks going back to the Wii, but at that point, there is no corresponding response from the Wii. It simply times out.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Michael
