Im not sure if anyone can help me, but always worth a try.
I just bought a Datel LAN Adapter, and I have cable internet, but the problem is that I have a single port modem and single port router, and I have 2 ethernet cords, so is there anyway I can still hook my Wii?

Difficulties logging on to wifi hotspot
Hi Guys
Im new to the forum. Just flicked through the thread and could not see an answer to a particular (hopefully sensible) question i have, hope i didnt miss it.
Has anyone tried with the Wii to log onto a wifi network which normally (on a PC) initiates the browser and loads up a page with a terms and conditions tick box and user login?
My Town has free wifi but I cant log in on the Wii or my DS, seemingly because i cant bring up this page with the terms&conds box.
I have heard that some consoles have an option to automatically load a browser when connecting specifically for this purpose but i cant find anything on the Wii.
Anyone had any expereince with this? is using a proxy server the only alternative?
thanks very much

Why yes, yes it does. HAHA!
I bought the Play Link on eBay and hooked them up to my Wii and Motorola router. Went through the menu and set it up as wireless with the router and it is working flawlessly.
I wonder why Logitech stopped making the Play Link as you can make dang near anything wireless with them.

I've taken my Wii to two other houses and used the wireless internet there and every game found players to pit me against within seconds, I'm asuming something is wrong with my modem that is stopping my Wii.
I have a Actiontec GT704-WG modem, greatly appreciate any help. Maybe some settings I have to change or something, I would really like to play my own Wii at my own house.

So no one knows how to fix my situation?

hi i'm new here and i cannot get the wireless to work. i have a linksys wrt54g router. the wii always finds the router but the connection test always fails. i kept getting errors like 51330. i've gone to the website and tried what it said and nothing worked. i have put a couple of calls into nintendo and still nothing. i can't get the lan adapter because the modem is far away from my wii and an ethernet cord would go through the midddle of three rooms.

I just got my Wii and spent 2 days changing settings in my Linksys Wireless WRT54G router trying to connect the Wii to the internet - nothing I tried worked....
I changed it from G-Only to Mixed mode,
I changed channels,
I opened ports in my router and assigned an IP to the Wii,
I had removed MAC filtering,
Someone suggested removing encryption from the router,
(I was like, Yeah...THAT's really gonna happen)...
Nothing worked.
Finally I got to the point where I didn't care anymore, and I decided to jack someone else's unsecured router that the Wii could see.....THAT worked....but lo and behold, once the Wii actually negotiated an online connection, NOW it can connect and stay connected using my secured router's connection, WITH MAC filtering and in G-Only mode, with me setting my router back to the way it was before.
Go figure.

I changed all my settings to what the site recommended, I'll check back in in a few days to report how well it works.

Well I waited and waited and waited and waited and waited, I'll just have to accept the fact that my modem sucks and is not good for the Wii.
I can play with friends online decently but no way in hell can I get a good "vs Anyone" match, I had my Wii sit for nearly 15 minutes online and no one joined with me.
