If you can get to the lobby, then you have an internet connection, but it might not be strong enough (that's why you're getting disconnected). How far away is your Wii from your wireless router?

If they are close enough for a strong connection, then I suggest purchasing a new router or a Wii LAN Adapter.

If you'd prefer not to buy a new router, then your other option would be the Wii LAN Adapter which is a wired connection. This link will answer all the questions about the Adapter:

Good luck!

Yeah, if you were to get a new, nice router, i would get a buffalo

edit: Getting a buffalo router in the united states might be a problem right now because of 802.11g standards
