Yes, I would pay as I believe it would lead to better service. If not, then I would switch to Xbox and their 360.

I swear to god, if nintendo pulls a ****tard move and keeps online as terrible as games like SSBB(I still play it though, can't get enough of Smash Bros.) then I'm ditching them, forever. I'd say 90% of the time I play games is for the reason of online, or to increase my ability to do something online. Considering I have no way to play my 360 online(YET!) I'd get rid of alot of my games for the Wii, or the Wii altogether to buy a network adapter for my 360. The day wi-fi costs money they better include, as aforementioned:

Voice chat. I mean really, what's online without that?

MORE/BETTER WI-FI GAMES. PERIOD.

MUCH better servers. I'm going to constantly pay for being disconnected? How about bullshit?

Ditch FCs and all that junk. It just slows things down real badly, and makes it that much harder. I can stand FCs, but they better get rid of them in the newer games. Also, as a side note, if voice chat isn't a possibility they better throw in chat rooms atleast.

Even so, pay and play could be good, considering a Wii isn't exactly most peoples' main consoles, and even then people with a Wii are commonly not serious gamers who spend most(or even all) of their free time playing games. I think this method will actually lower the cost of wi-fi compared to anything else. The question is, and has been, how shitty will it be?

Still, if they do this dumbass move without any improve..... **** YOU NINTENDO. ****. YOU.

Paying for playing games online is going out of style. Xbox is pretty much the only place you have to pay for online play anymore. PS3 is free, Wii and DS is free. Even Microsoft recently took away the fee for the Windows version of Live. It's just a matter of time before it's free on the 360 too.

The only place you're going to find fees for online play, are with subscription-style games like WoW or other MMORPGs.

yea thats true, but with the 360 its a hefty package, but the service they offer is amazing and everything that comes with it, all kinds of media, loads of stuff, the way to contact anyone, everything is thought out well, so £40 is good i reckon, it has been £40 since the original xbox came out and back then it wasnt worth itbut now..

might sell my wii and get an 360 like i should have done in the first place, but i thought id give it a try anyway

Off topic: If you havn't already sold your original Xbox, might wanna do so for a 360. Then again, if you still play some original Xbox games, don't. (Unless old memory cards work on the 360, I'm too stupid to know :P)
