I have connected to WFC... added friends no problem even played a quick match yesterday afternoon. However since then I can't play online. WFC connects but if i go worldwide or continental it searches for players for a while then it says "Error 85020 disconnected from network during data transmission"

Is nintendo wifi down or something?

8#### errors are on Nintendo's end 95% of the time. Don't let it bother ya too much and just keep trying.

Thanks for the reply.. Considering I managed to play online once yesterday afternoon and haven't since I can only assume it is nintendo and not me?

If it was a router or firewall problem surely it wouldn't have worked yesterday for the brief period of time.

Bingo... it was like this for awhile when Pokemon was released also.

EDIT: power cycle your Wii if you haven't (hold button til it turns red) to make sure your connection fully refreshes.

I had another before with the ghost data option (which was working last night) again the error code points to:

Error Code: 61070
Our experience shows that error messages within this range are typically caused by temporary network issues with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Rebooted my wii.... I get searching for players.. then the message disapears with no one found. So much for online eh

EDIT: And another error code to add to the library: 86420

Is your wireless signal possibly being blocked or interfered with? My sterio weakens my signal if it is between my Wii and access point, this issue would cause the 6#### error you had. Also, switching wireless channels never hurts. Other than that I guess you can just hope real hard

I think it's nintendo.. it worked for about 10mins this evening then got disconnected. So don't think it's me.

i got connected, then it started to get ready to do the vote map thing, then i got disconnected. i had trouble when brawl came out too. give it some time... IMO
