WFC trouble
Hi i have my wii connected wirelessly to my netgear wgr614v7 with upto date software, the wii is connected online and i have updated its software also. I can use the shopping channel and the news and weather and when the wii is off the light is yellow indicating wii connect24 is,well, connected.
The problem is when i try to play mariokarts online there is always a disconnected error with code 61010. I have looked this up and using these results i have left the wii and powercycled the network and tried again, i have tried now for over a week and still no progress. It is frustrating as i even get emails about the mariokart championship from the mariokart channel i have downloaded so i enter the race and when i go to send my time the error comes up again!
Can someone please help me because i don't have a clue what to do,i have tried my hardest?! Is there maybe some router setting i am missing or something?
Thanks in advance

My computer had issues like this before and it was caused by a weak signal from the pole (needed a lineguy to come fix it, pretty random, but hey it may be your reason too.) You could have some sort of signal interference so try switching your wireless channel, and does the wireless work fine for everything else connected to it?
I have a perfect connection and I have had a 6#### error before (just once) and I did nothing to resolve it (because I knew I was fine) and I never saw it again. Nintendo is kind of vague with their reasons.

yeh my laptop is fine wirelessly. Ahh yes u might be on to something there with the weak signal, i am living in student flats and am have the router connected to the internet via ethernet and it is some type of network i have heard my computer literate friends say(computers aren't my strongest point!). Any other ideas?

At high peak times your signal could be spread too thin throughout your lan segment (grouping of computers.) If the laptop is fine a quick test is to try connecting the Wii at odd hours of the day and see what results you get. Also, do not put your laptop inbetween your Wii and wireless access point (or next to each other) because this will cause interference and possibly the errors you are seeing.

I've been getting 61010 off and on all day. I think it's on Nintendo's side and highly annoying. Probably all the people submitting times for this tournament. Broke the network. Sigh.

I've just gotten a few more 6#### errors myself, ironically while trying to submit my tourney time, I'd go with Sir's guess.

Think its happening to everyone right now. Servers might be under maintenance or most likely over-loaded.

I believe that any of the 6#### errors are on Nintendo's side, if I'm not mistaken. I think it has to do with the amount of people playing WFC games, most likely MKWii since it just came out, and there's nothing that we can do except hope that Nintendo adds some more servers.

Yup pretty annoying. Might as well turn the cd into a coaster so I get some use out of the game. Online was the only thing I liked about this new version. My rating of the game just keeps going down.

They'll fix this problem, just wait and see. This reminds me of when the GTS shut down on Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

Does anyone else have the problem of racing online, that i do?
Its this,..... I can race people, continental or world for 1 or 2 races then during the race, everyone disapears and i race alone, then at the end it tells me I was disconected.
The same for friends race, 1 or 2 then disconect?
