Mario Kart FRIENDS

When I try to play online with a friend..... I can join rooms and send messages.. but I can not play... with them....

I keep getting UNABLE TO MEET UP...

what is wrong?

I get that sometimes (~40%) too, it's hit or miss it seems.

Hey Guys, I Have The Same Problem. I Have Added A Friend And He Has Added Me. We Can Both See Each Other, But When One Of Us Opens A Room And Another Enters It, We Get An Error Message (86420). We Tried This About 10 Times And Nothing. We Both Have Wii Connect 24 Enabled. We Have Both Participated In Online Racing Multipule Times, So Its Not Our Connection. We Are Both Useing Cable Modems.

Playing Friends Worldwide

I can't figure this out...when I go into the Friends room and they are currently "racing" how can I join the same regional/worldwide game that they are playing?

just wait for the race to end, you will automatically be entered in the next round.

Can you elaborate on this? I've tried a thousand times to join a friend when they are racing in a regional/worldwide competition. I can see his mii and I get a "Meet up" option on my side of the connection. The problem is that when i click on the "Meet up" button I'm taken to a screen telling me that I'm connecting with my friend, a race then starts, but I never get to race with him.

I'm almost 100% sure that "unable to meet up" means the friend you are trying to race is already racing 11 other people so there is no room for you to join.
