Wii Pay & Play

so I'm sure you've all heard of the new Wii online Pay & Play feature they are going to have with certain games. now I'm going to give my thoughts then i want to know what u think.
1. yah its gonna suck to have to play online with what are going to be the best games. i mean c'mon they will put this on the best games that will come out.
2. while we pay for it, they will be able to make the server better with the money and add new features.
3. i hope the costs aren't too bad

over all i think it might be for the best, i mean eventually it could turn out to be like XBOX LIVE and thats great. sow hat do you guys and girls think??

What? No, its not Zapasant. The Pay and Play service is going to be used to support a better online experience with voice chat, matchmaking, online rankings, etc. Games with Pay and Play online will have an Orange WiFi mark instead of Blue on the cover. I don't know when the first games will come out with this, but it will probably be soon.

Wait.... I heard that pay & play was only going be in certain areas, and alot of places would remain free (or so I heard from nintendo). did they change their minds and make everywhere pay & play?

Not certain areas, certain games. I have no clue how this is going to be implemented, so don't ask me about anything other than what it is.

(i really thought that i read somewhere that nintendo said it would only be in certain areas...... ugh. for probably all the "good games" we'd have to pay. hopefully it won't be out until that new Zelda game is out (posted on the gaming forum)

The My Life as King WiiWare game shows the Pay and Play logo because of the downloadable content that costs extra. Nintendo has said very little about what it may encompass in the future. The stuff about voice chat, etc. is all speculation. And some games already have online rankings.

I don`t really get how that can be true because you said it would include voice chat when Nintendo hasn`t even announced voice chat. Dorkfish I`m kind of confused lol. Explain again please.

No actually the pay and play is going to be for disk based games also there is one coming out that has been announced!

Pay To Play is essentially made to enhance the online experience, so voice chat, no friend codes etc. Its also sounds optional and I feel the first Wii game to use it will be Animal Crossing.

Expect more news about this at E3, if not don't expect big things to happen with this service. As of now everything about the feature is pure speculation.

The online experience is already great, voice chat is being worked on for The Conduit, and the FC business isn't that big of a deal.

Its probably only for dlc. I dont see why they would suddenly make online multiplayer costly.

Guitar Hero 4 will be pay for play. The downloadable songs will be what you have to pay for and that's what pay for play is going to be about. We wont have to pay to play games online, and hopefully we will use wii points to pay for play
