dude just start with the games u remember and love, mario world, tmnt, and starfox have always been some of my faves. if you see some from your past that you like, start with them. id wait to experiment a little bit longer and see if they come out with some way of demoing the games.

Out of any game on the VC right now I'd say Super Mario World.

Gradius is a great game. Very reminicent of old arcade games. If you're from the younger generation try Starfox 64.

Kirby's Adventure - Easy and fairly short game, but it's IMO a blast to play through again with its catchy music and cool art style.
Starfox 64 - This game may seem basic at first, but you'll find little secrets that lead you to different levels. It's one of those classic arcady like games, but it's just great to play.
Donkey Kong Country - A great platformer that's not too short and has some difficulty to it, definatley worth your time.

Mario Kart: You just have to play this great classic.
Ocarina of time: This is one of my all time favourite games. Ever.
Donkey Kong Country: As mentioned above, its great for a challenge.
