As of yet, I don't own a Wii, but hope to get one in the next few months. Obviously, the Wii's internal memory is limited. So, I was wondering:

Is it possible to save VC games anywhere but the internal memory?

The games themselves? No, you have to delete them to make room. Annoying, I know, but at least you can redownload them whenever you like for free.

True, but you still have to delete them from the internal memory.

And from what I understand when you save them to the SD Card it just saves the "installation file" so when you want to play again it has to 're-install' to the internal memory.

I haven't tried any of this yet- but I THINK if you save it to the card then put it back onto the Wii it might not keep your "save point"?

I'm not sure but I believe suspension points are saved to the save files. Since they only take about 1-4 blocks each, you probably won't need to delete them.
